4 Detroit Women Found Dead in Car Trunks
Seems like killing women who work as escorts or prostitutes is becoming a popular crime for serial killers now a days. Finding them on websites such as backpage.com makes them an easy target too! It wasn't too long ago when they arrested the Ohio prostitute killer and also the horrible findings of prostitute's bodies in New York's Long Island Beach. Lets just hope that whoever is committing these crimes is captured immediately. The sooner they arrest this murderer the more it might discourage others from imitating him.

The Taser C2 Safety Gift for The Holidays
What can be better than giving a person a year round protection gift that is as effective as police protection?
The Taser C2 is a citizen Taser that has the same muscle disabling strength that police weapons have. The only difference is the distance it can reach. While police units can reach up to a maximum of 35 feet, the Taser C2 can reach 15 feet.
Why buy a Taser for a safety gift instead of a firearm?
• Non lethal
• Laser aiming
• LED Light
• Stun gun backup
• No permit required in most States
• No kickback
• No cleaning!
The Taser C2 has laser sight for perfect aiming. Laser sight is a red beam of light that shows up as a red dot on whomever you are trying to aim at... You don't have to have perfect aim to use this weapon for safety! Shooting a Taser doesn't pull or push you back, like a firearm would... You don't have to be very strong to use a Taser. No need to clean messy gun powder off, like you occasionally would need to with a fire arm... It is maintenance free! This weapon has a 10 year battery shelf life or enough juice for 50, 30-second shots! PLUS, Did you know that a Taser C2, keeps tasing for 30 seconds while you escape by placing it on the ground? AND if stolen Taser International will replace it for FREE? All you would need is a police report of the incident.
A safety gift for the holidays shows that you deeply care about your loved ones.

Party Safety During the Holidays
Holiday and New Years Party Safety Tips
- When drinking any beverage, always keep an eye on your drink
- Never drink any kind of beverage from a punch bowl or open container
- Never share a drink
- If you order a drink from a waiter, request that it be in a closed container
- Don't accept an open drink from anyone, unless you watched them pour it
- Drugs used to spike drinks can be colorless and tasteless so you might not realize that anything has been added
- Be aware of the behavior of your friends. Is their behavior out of character? Do they seem too "out of it" for what they've drank, leave the party immediately and don't go back
- If you still want to be even more cautious, consider purchasing drink testing strips
- When meeting a new person, make sure to introduce him or her to your friends. Point out some features to your friends about this new person, example: "Doesn't he have beautiful green eyes and check out his tattoo!" (important police info)
- Never leave a party with someone you just met
- Choose your designated driver before you go to a party with a group
- If you're intoxicated, alone and leaving, have the host/bartender call a taxi

Holidays are for Burglars & Pickpockets Too!
That's right. Burglars and pickpockets have a great time during the holidays too. In fact, the holidays are the best time of the year to sneak into homes or pickpocket in malls. The problem for the rest of us is that we seldom think about this threat because we are too busy planning and buying gifts! But this year, let's make it a point to deter burglars and thieves.
Best thing to have for your home, especially if you are going away for the holidays, are digital timers. Get yourself a few of them and place them around your home. These nifty digital timers will make your house or apartment, seem like it is occupied, by turning lights on and off automatically, during the evening. Burglars like dark houses and avoid ones that look like people might be walking around in them. Digital timers can turn your lamps, TV, stereo, Christmas tree, etc., on and off, making burglars think twice, before they try to enter your home.
Pickpockets are everywhere especially during the holidays. One thing you should try to avoid are very crowded situations. This is heaven for pickpockets, because they can rub against you while at the same time, take your wallet or an item from your purse. Best thing to do if you are going shopping for many items, is to take the least amount of things with you. If you have buttoned or zipped pants or shirts, wear them when you shop. Placing your credit cards or money in hard to access pockets deters pickpockets. Avoid using backpacks while shopping. These are just invitations for thieves. Plus make sure never to leave a shopping bag unattended!

Razor Stun Gun with 4 Million Volts!
This small stun gun that looks like an electric razor, only measures 5 inches in length. It doesn't look like a weapon, but looks can be deceiving. The Razor Stun Gun is lightweight and delivers a powerful 4 million volts, bringing a potential attacker down to the ground with just pressing a button!
This Razor Stun Gun is small enough to fit in your pocket or purse. Plus the weapon is rechargeable, so no need to purchase batteries. On top of that, it also has an LED flashlight that apart from being convenient at night, can also make it hard for an attacker to see you, since the bright light would have a temporary blinding effect. Just pressing the activation button of the Razor Stun Gun, makes a 4 million volt, very intimidating electrical sound, that no one would want to be near! The weapon also has a safety switch, to prevent accidental discharge AND it is reasonably priced.
Finally, as if it weren't enough... The Razor Stun Gun also comes with a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

FBI Definition of Rape will Change
Photo from Women's Law Project |
Many sexual assault cases have been dismissed by courts because of technicalities dealing specifically with the words used to define rape. This will hopefully be fixed with a new definition of rape that will be voted upon in December and hopefully will replace the present definition.
The present FBI definition goes like this: "carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will". The new definition is going to be worded in a more detailed fashion. It will state: "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim".
This new FBI definition is being considered, thanks to Carol Tracy, the executive director of Women's Law Project. Carol Tracy has been on the FBI's case to change their definition of rape for 10 years!
Thank you Carol Tracy, on behalf of WomenOnGuard™ and all women in the USA!

Occupy Wall Street Declaration
Occupy Wall Street (OWS), is probably one of the largest if not the largest American demonstration, in our country in over 30 years. The demonstrations are increasing in numbers and have been spreading internationally as well.
Occupy Wall Street has a big presence and we thought it important to make sure our customers and readers know exactly what they stand for. Most people are not aware that they have made a formal DECLARATION. For those of you who aren't sure what the Occupy Wall Street protest stands for, please go to their DECLARATION document and find out HERE.

Kansas City will Not Protect Domestic Violence Victims
This is unbelievable! Why doesn't Kansas City just get rid of their police force, while they are at it. Here we are nationally trying to get rid of violence in our streets and Kansas City decides to promote violence by not protecting women that are victims of domestic violence. Now every wife abuser and rapist has a free ticket to commit violence toward women and no one will be there to protect these victims. Domestic violence is most likely to increase because of the unemployment issue. This decision to not protect domestic violence victims is inexcusable. SHAME on Kansas City!

Domestic Violence Victim Freed from Prison
AP Photo/The Tennessean, Shelley Mays |
It's a shame that this woman was in prison for 26 years, simply because she was defending herself from her abusive husband! This it why so many women feel trapped in cases of domestic violence. They call authorities for help and all they get in response from authorities is "We can't interfear with domestic affairs, between a man and his wife".

Tennessee prison frees former death row inmate
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A woman who spent 26 years on death row and came within two months of being executed was freed Friday from a Tennessee prison.
In a Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 file photo, Gaile Owens reacts after hearing one member of the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole voting 'Yes' to release her, during her first parol hearing at the Tennessee Prison for Women in Nashville, Tenn.
Gaile Owens, 58, of Memphis was released Friday and greeted by a small group of supporters outside Tennessee's Prison for Women.
She was sentenced to die for hiring a stranger to kill her husband in 1985, but her death sentence was commuted to life in prison last year and she won parole last week.
Supporters had urged her release, claiming she was a battered wife who didn't use that defense because she didn't want her young sons to know about the physical and sexual abuse.
The first thing she did on leaving the prison was to hug one of those sons, Stephen Owens, who is now grown and has children of his own.
Owens issued a written statement and then immediately left the prison.
"I'm looking forward to leading a quiet, private but productive life," the statement said. She said she wanted to get to know her son and the grandchildren born while she was in prison.
Her son said he was looking forward to spending the rest of the day with his mother.
Owens' sentence was commuted to life in prison in July 2010 by former Gov. Phil Bredesen. He acknowledged the abuse claims of her supporters but gave a different reason for his decision to spare her life. Bredesen said prosecutors had agreed not to seek the death penalty if Owens pleaded guilty but then put her on trial when her co-defendant wouldn't accept the plea bargain.
At the time she was imprisoned, a life sentence meant serving 30 years and she was eligible to be released now because of good conduct.

Survivors of Domestic Violence, Rape or Similar Abuse
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and when we read of these horrific domestic violence or abuse cases in the news, we normally think it can't happen to me or any of my close friends. What we don't realize is that there is so much stigma related to this topic that it usually is not mentioned in our social circles and therefore we rarely find out of someone we know that is or was sexually assaulted or abused in the past. This is why we posted the names below. Even though the list is probably not someone you know personally, we feel the women included here, might be someone you can relate to...
Survivors of Domestic Violence or Sexual Abuse
Alice Walker (author/activist) abuse
Angie Dickenson (actress) emotional abuse

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
It's a shame that there is a month of the year, October, just for this cruel domestic violence issue. It's a reminder that cruelty towards women is not just in nations across the Atlantic ocean. The USA is also on the list of countries that treat some women like dirt. The singer TRACY CHAPMAN comes to mind. She wrote a song in 1983 that exemplifies domestic violence and how authorities usually deal with it.
BEHIND THE WALL by Tracy Chapman
Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won't do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all
And when they arrive
They say they can't interfear
With domestic affairs
Between a man and his wife
And as they walk out the door
The tears well up in her eyes
Last night I heard the screaming
Then a silence that chilled my soul
Prayed that I was dreaming
When I saw the ambulance in the road
And the policeman said
"I'm here to keep the peace.
Will the crowd disperse?
I think we all could use some sleep."
Please try to remember to donate to a women's shelter and help fight against domestic violence.

Prisoners on Death Row
There's a lot of news lately about criminals in prison and especially prisoners on death row. Much of the information is whether executing a death row prisoner is morally acceptable.
Nobody want's to be accused of killing or executing someone, not even if that person is a prison guard who's job is to ready a prisoner for his death. Many people have mixed feelings about this, including myself. People sometimes think that there is only 2 solutions to the problem, either put the prisoner to death or keep him or her alive until they naturally die incarcerated.
There is and always has been an alternative to this and it is called; LABOR! What ever happened to the practice of having prisoners work or labor for us? Prisoners now are provided with EXPENSIVE GYM EQUIPMENT, to work out with, rather than doing hard work for our society! Lets make them do some physical labor to earn their keep! We don't need to buy them treadmills. Death row prisoners and for that matter regular felons, should help with cleaning up our highways, rivers, railways or whichever work idea a national prison would choose, to help our infrastructure. Heck, let them start installing solar panels! With today's technology, I'm sure there would be no issues with escape attempts.
Instead of executing prisoners, lets make them work for us TAX PAYING AMERICANS!

What Happened to that Old Baseball Bat Under Your Bed?
Ever wonder if you even still have it under your bed? Maybe one of your kids took it to baseball practice and left it somewhere...

Stun batons can have as much as 1 MILLLION powerful volts of protection! Many are rechargeable, so no need to purchase batteries. Most stun batons come with holsters too.
So you see, you don't need to hold on to that old baseball bat after all. Oh, and one more thing, all our batons come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

Mace KeyGuard Pepper Spray with Key Ring
Do you think your pepper spray is too bulky? Well, we have the solution, the Mace KeyGuard pepper spray with key ring, the newest product in our store. Just attach your keys to this small handy weapon and it will become your new key ring! Don't let the size fool you. This pepper spray is backed up by Mace, the oldest, most reliable pepper spray manufacturer. Even though it is small, slightly taller than 3 inches, it can shoot as far as 5 feet! The spray is shaped like a cone, similar to hairsprays. This is more like a mist instead of a liquid stream that most other defense sprays have. You just aim it a someone's face and you can't miss! The Mace KeyGuard will cover their whole face and make their eyes burn so much, that they will have to slam them shut. While the attacker has his or her eyes closed and feeling like they are burning, you can make your safe escape!
This small self defense spray has a hinged cap that flips up so that you can press down the actuator button, and spray it. This pepper spray also has an orientation tab, to make it easier for you to feel where you're aiming at. You can shoot this weapon approximately 6 times! ALSO, not to worry if you run out of the pepper spray solution, because it is also REFILLABLE. You won't have to buy an entire new unit again! The Mace KeyGuard pepper spray comes in pink or black, with a convenient key ring to attach your keys.

We are always complaining about violence in our society and blame television and movies for exposing children to it. Yet, we ourselves are encouraging violence for boys and girls at a very young age. Learning starts in the home and playing with toy guns should be discouraged!
Next time you go to a birthday party or a holiday gathering with friends and relatives, make sure that the gifts you take AREN'T GUNS!

Flash Mob, The New Threat Of Violence
What is a Flash Mob, you ask? It's when young people organize thru the internet or cell phones, to meet at a certain place and cause destruction or injury. There seems to be a growing trend for this in the United States and in other countries. Young people rioting or going into retail stores and destroying or stealing everything in site! This is all done just for the fun of it or to get some attention.
We believe that this new Flash Mob phenomena started by observing how the Egyptians took control of their country by connecting thru social media or internet and cell phones. But what actually helped a country out of a Dictatorship is now becoming a trend to do the opposite; cause harm and vandalize legit establishments. You could see examples of this violence when London was the stage for these criminal young hoodlums, last week. Earlier this week there was violence in 4 San Francisco subway stations and recently the 7-Eleven store in Maryland, where 28 teenage members of a Flash Mob, came in and pushed items off the shelves and also robbed products. All of this violence by Flash Mobs was planned thru cell phone contact and internet social media communication.
This is a very worrisome situation that can easily escalate. Some cities in the United States have been forced to place curfews against teenagers being out and about after a certain time of the night. The problem though, is that these Flash Mobs can happen at any time of the day. It seems like we are going to need more police officers to patrol our streets and include some hefty fines for those teenagers who decide to gather and commit these violent crimes.

Home, Dorm or Hotel Door Stop Alarm
Do you remember back in the day when we used those brown rubber door stoppers in our homes? Well they have come a long way since then! The concept is the same, it still holds back the door, but from INTRUDERS!
The Door Stop Alarm is slightly larger than those old door stoppers and it doesn't just prevent intruders from coming into your home, dorm or hotel room, but it also has a 1.20 db alarm, that will let you know if an intruder is trying to come in. It also has a sensitivity switch, to prevent tampering and an on/off switch to prevent it from accidentally sounding the alarm.
This Door Stop Alarm is not only great for your home, it also is good for college kids to use in their dorms. Persons who travel frequently and stay at many hotels, would love this little door stopper too!
Whether you are at home, at a college dorm or a hotel, this is one of the most reliable and inexpensive items you can use for your safety.

Domestic Violence on Steroids
Family is one of the most if not the most important factor in our human existence. Domestic violence is a direct attack on this precious union and it seems like it is getting worse. Most of the time, the husbands are the ones that beat or injure their wives and the wife and children are the ones that suffer emotionally. But lately there are more and more, of what we call; domestic violence on steroids. We know that men or women are more prone to violence when they take steroids. That in itself is a big problem, but we are referring to something else.
It seems like every other day, you hear about a "murder suicide". An alarming case of these murder suicides includes a husband and his wife and his children too! It is bothersome to hear that someone takes his or her own life, but to drag in an entire family, is another situation. These murder suicides are the WORST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRIME, a person can imagine. This is why we refer to them as domestic violence on steroids. And they are becoming unfortunately, very popular lately. No one knows for sure why this is happening, but some blame it on the economy and the frustration that mostly men have, in not being able to provide for their own families.
If you know of someone that is unemployed because of the economy and getting violent, please try to gear them into some sort or free counseling or help. This is a very serious problem that is affecting many families. The economy should not be a reason why families are dying.

Hotel Safety Tips for Traveling Business Women
If you are a business woman that stays at hotels frequently or travels often, please read the following safety tips and let your co-workers know about them:
It is not necessary to open your hotel room door when someone knocks on it. You can always ask what they want or have them drop off what they want to deliver. If they say they can't leave it at the door, have them take it to the hotel's front desk.
Avoid having detailed conversation with strangers you meet at the lobby. Sometimes that's where predators hang out, to befriend future victims.
If attending a convention, wear your name badge only at the convention and nowhere else. Don't advertise where you are staying and give out your name to everybody who passes by you!
Never let anyone into your hotel room that you don't know.
Need an alcoholic drink to take the stress off? It is best to have the front desk bring it up to your room. Request that the person delivering it, be a woman. If you prefer going to the hotel bar, make sure you see the bartender pour your drink and always keep an eye on your drink. If you are at a table, make sure the waiter or waitress pours it in front of you or request a closed container when ordering for example, a beer or for that matter any beverage!
When traveling or staying at a hotel, it is important to also carry with you some sort of self defense product besides practicing safety tips. Best thing is a personal alarm (airports won't confiscate them). One example is the Personal Travel Alarm. This alarm has a motion sensor which you can place on your hotel room door knob. If someone moves the door knob, it will alert you! If placed on your briefcase when you can't keep an eye on it and someone moves it, you will also be alerted! Another nice defense product you can select is the Door Stop Alarm. It is similar to those old rubber door stops but it also has an alarm that can wake you up besides not allowing intruders to get in.
These safety tips are not just for business women staying at hotels, but also when women are in airports, riding trains, in subways or at bus stations!

Students Scared Around College Campus
Have you ever noticed that when female students start college, after their summer break, many are terrified of walking alone on campus? If you haven't, you can see for yourself by just checking out tweets on Twitter, made by college girls, right when classes start. Maybe one quarter of the tweets, mention how scary it is to walk alone around campus. This is especially the case with freshmen students that walk around campus for the first time at night or perhaps jog early in the morning.
Students, females or males, have good reason to be scared. Studies have shown that college women are 4 times more likely to get raped than other women in society. Men also can get bullied or attacked and robbed in college. These threats may come from other classmates or from a dangerous outsider. It can be threatening on campus grounds and surrounding areas as well.
If you have a child attending college this coming fall, make sure that you include some Mace, pepper spray or other self defense product, along with the other materials they take to college. Pepper spray as well as Mace, nowadays come disguised, so others won't notice that your child is carrying some protection. Mace pens are a good example. These pens are not only a weapon, but they also write too! Mace even has some walking weights, for the more athletic students. They can jog or walk with them and feel confident that they have a self defense product to protect them! Pepper spray can also look like a lipstick, perfume or pager... These self defense products are easily carried around and are a must for all students.
May your child's grades exceed your expectations and may they stay safe too!

Safety Tips for Young Women
Yes, for young women, because us older ones already learned from our mistakes and should pass it on to our daughters, younger friends and relatives. If you consider yourself an "older gal", you might consider these safety tips to be just common sense. But what is common sense to you, might not be to young women who are now entering into our society and are inexperienced in the ways of this crime infested world. So keep this in mind and pass it on to any young woman you might come across or even to your own daughter!

Safety Tips for Preventing Crime
- Avoid dark and empty places, like alleys.
- Avoid walking alone at night, have someone you know accompany you.
- Never drink from an opened container at bars or parties. Get your own drink and keep an eye on your drink.
- Never accept a ride from a stranger. Your mom told you this and it holds true for preventing crime as an adult too.
- Meet someone new? Introduce him to your friends. Mention his hair color or eyes, any features that can be remembered by your friends. This can be crucial information if a crime is committed.
- No security system... but have a car? Keep your car alarm by your nightstand. If you hear something suspicious, let your car alarm double as a home alarm. The whole neighborhood will be listening! (First test your alarm from your bedroom, to make sure it reaches your car.)
- Look around and inside your parked car, before entering it.
- If you live in an apartment complex: Check your mail in a well lit area or wait till in the morning to check it. Take your trash out at night if the area is well lit or wait until the morning. If you have a dog, take him or her with you for your nightly tasks. Good exercise for your pet too!
- If you take public transportation, make friends with women that you usually see on a regular basis. This makes for a good buddy system.
- Always take a self defense product with you when you are out and about!

With so many natural disasters that have occurred, staying informed is crucial for many people to be safe.
Typically whenever there is some sort of storm, fire, flooding or any kind of disaster emergency, the first thing that goes out is the electricity. What is a Stun Gun?
Many people don't know what a stun gun is. Some people think it might be a firearm, others think it is just another term for a Taser. Many also confuse it with being some sort of dart drugging weapon... None of these conclusions are correct!
A stun gun is basically a self defense weapon that is non-lethal and that you can use against an attacker. When you touch a person with a stun gun, it will transfer electricity through their body. As a general rule, a one-half second contact can repel and startle the attacker, giving some pain and muscle contraction. One to two seconds can cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. Over three seconds can cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation. Notice that we mentioned "touch a person". This is important because you have to be at arms length in order to actually use this weapon against an attacker. Stun guns are not like Tasers, which shoot electrical probes 15 feet away and actually reach an attacker, like police use... Both a stun gun and a Taser disable an attacker by using electricity.
While a Taser can reach attackers at a distance with electricity, they can be costly to some people, therefore, a stun gun is the next best thing to electrically shock an attacker with! Stun guns can come disguised as a cell phone, lipstick, bulky pen, baton, etc. Many have added lights, alarms and some are even rechargeable, so there is no need to worry about purchasing batteries. The disguised stun guns are perfect for the office and for college students too!

Was the Woman Raped or Sexually Assaulted?
Photo taken by fairfaxcounty. |
In the past few years, reporters of crime have been using more and more the term sexual assault rather than rape. Why is that? I always thought it meant the same thing... Or at least that is what most of us think. Is sexual assault more of a court term? I'm not sure why or exactly where this preference to use the term sexual assault came from.
The term sexual assault sounds less violating than rape. I believe that it makes the act seem less invading and less horrible! Using the term sexual assault is like calling it, a sexual incident. It doesn't represent the magnitude of the crime. Have you ever noticed that news reporters also use it with the term rapist? Now why don't they use the words, sexual assailant, for consistency sake? If an attacker is as bad as having to call him a RAPIST, then they should call what he did a RAPE. Is the attack itself, not as bad as the attacker?
Well there you have it. I had to vent. Women are getting raped everyday in this country by rapists and it should be reported as such. It is a devastating attack that sometimes ends up in murder. Making it sound less horrible will not help from stopping it.

Compact Pepper Spray contains 1/2 Ounce, Same as Other Sprays.
The compact Pepper Shot™ pepper spray is a 10% defense spray that is smaller than the average pepper spray on the market today. Yet, this weapon contains the same amount of hot solution. The reason it is smaller is because most other sprays have a plastic or leather case surrounding them, where as this compact spray doesn't. It comes in the original small can.
The convenience of having a compact pepper spray is that it will fit practically anywhere. The Pepper Shot™ not only is smaller but also has a convenient quick key release keychain. Other pepper sprays have just a regular key ring. The advantages of having a quick key release chain is that for example if your pepper spray is attached to your car keys and you need to use it right away, you can detach it from the rest of your keys and still keep your car keys in the ignition.
This spray not only has the same amount of solution and a quick key release chain, but it also reaches 7 feet, just as other sprays do. This pepper spray also contains 5 to 6 shots and includes a UV Dye that helps police identify an attacker.

Questions About Pepper Spray and Types Available
This post will try to explain as simply as possible, the basics about pepper spray.
To start, most pepper spray consists of a percentage of a very hot pepper substance called OC or oleoresin capsicum. Most brands carry 10% of this substance. Some have up to 17% concentration! The higher the concentration the hotter it will feel on an attacker's face and the most likely he or she, will slam their eyes shut! Most pepper spray also include a key chain and a UV Dye. The Dye helps in identification when an attacker is caught by the police. The solution inside the aerosol pressured, pepper spray container is oily. This makes it harder to be washed off with just plain water. Some sprays can also contain tear gas.
Most people think that pepper spray shoots it's substance like a hairspray would... While some do, the most popular pepper sprays, deliver the pepper in a thin stream. There are many types of sprays and they can usually reach up to 7 feet. Some can reach even further! When spraying, you should always try to aim at an attacker's eyes.
Forced Cone - This is like a hairspray, it starts narrow and ends as a wide mist. Good for enclosed areas. Example: Mace Triple Action Fogger.
Broken Stream/Heavy Stream - These are the types that usually can reach the farthest, as long as 20 feet, but they are also the ones that use the most amount when shot. Example: Kimber PepperBlaster.
Fogger - Similar to Forced Cone. Ideal for home invasions, especially if more than one invader is present. Caution should be taken to leave the area quickly so you don't get spray back! Example: Streetwise Pepper Spray 17% 1 lb. Firemaster.
Foam or Gel - These are thicker streams that are less likely to be blown away by the wind and tend to adhere better to the face of an attacker. The foam has an additional benefit of expanding on impact, which covers the attackers face even more. Example: Mace Pepper Foam.
Powder - This is the latest shape in the market today. It sprays a powder like substance that makes a cloud in front of you. It is able to not just get into the eyes of an attacker, but it also is inhaled. This causes a deeper penetration of the hot substance into the lungs. Plus the cloud blocks visibility, so the attacker can't see you. Example: PepperBall HotShot.
Pepper spray also comes disguised as lipstick, perfume, pens, pagers, batons, gun, walking weights and some even come with built in lights for night vision! Please feel free to call us about the different types of sprays!

Fox is Canceling America's Most Wanted, Big Mistake!
The announcement was made by Fox Broadcasting Company on May 17th. It is hard to believe that a program which delivers such useful information to the public, is going to be canceled. Even if the ratings were down, America's Most Wanted was offering a service to the public. At least to the ones who cared about getting rid of criminals on the streets. Fox is doing a huge disservice to it's viewers by canceling America's Most Wanted, but I'm sure another network will pick them up. As a matter of fact, I think they would be a good program addition to the Public Broadcasting System or PBS. Seems like they are the only ones that embrace quality over ratings.
Fox canceling America's Most Wanted is wrong, it deserves to be aired to the general public. I hope they stay on the air, somehow, for the sake of all American's safety!

Pennsylvania Man commits suicide and takes his wife and 2 daughters with him.
Here we go again, another LOOSER, this time in Pennsylvania, that feels he has to take his entire family with him! Some people say that men that kill their families and commit suicide, do it because they don't want their family to suffer economically in this cruel world... This is far from the truth. These men are just weak. They can't take what life throws at them and just give up and drag their family in with them. They are not only weak but also have big egos, to think that they are the only ones that can take care of their family. They assume that their wives cannot get help or are not capable of taking matters into her own hands, if need be.
This trend has got to stop! We no longer live in a patriarchal society. Women and children shouldn't be put to death, just because the husband is having a tough time. When was the last time you heard of a woman taking her husband and children's lives, just because she thought there was no future for them? This mentality is very archaic and has no place in today's society. Entire families do not have to die, because one of them is weak and has a huge ego.
Read MSNBC article here. Mind you, this is not the only article about this subject, this month and of course, it doesn't just occur in Pennsylvania! This is an on going problem that has been going on for too long, and must be stopped.

Maid who accused IMF Chief, Fears for Her Life
International Monetary Fund |
In the meantime, the IMF Chief's wife is defending her husband who has been nick named in the past as "The Seducer". His wife has been aware of his female encounters, yet always forgives him and mentions that they are no different from other couples that have similar issues. She states that he is innocent in this latest fiasco.
Sexual assault victims are many times accused of asking for it or of consenting to have sex. In this case there is also the question of it being a conspiracy... We will have to wait for this case to go to court, before we know what really happened. Is the maid a sexual assault victim, or is she a conspirator?

2 Chicago cops held in sexual assault cases
It is very disturbing to hear news regarding sexual assault by cops. These two officers, ten year veterans of the force, not only raped women but used their authoritative image to do so. Women were intimidated by them and had no choice but to comply. Since this sexual assault story came out in Chicago, MORE women have come forward, stating they were also raped by these cops!
Hope justice is done in Chicago and these two men don't get special treatment, just because they are cops!

Personal Safety While Running, Jogging or Walking
It's that time of the year when your winter hibernation ends and your outdoor adventures begin. It's nice to breathe fresh air and give your treadmill or elliptical a rest! Nothing is better than running free down a dirt road, through trails or just jogging through your neighborhood. We all love to be outside with nature. I guess it brings back that child in us, to explore.
In order to achieve your full potential, you shouldn't have fearful thoughts cross your mind. Unfortunately it is no secret that us women should be careful when we are alone in public. Just as you buckle your seatbelt without really thinking about it when you get into your car, you should also take some sort of personal safety weapon in your workout escapades. Yes, I'm talking about the good old pepper spray. Whether it is the Mace brand, Streetwise 17% or the PepperBall HotShot brands, carrying one of them while you are walking, jogging or running, will help you focus more on your workout rather than on your personal safety. Most pepper sprays have a keychain that you can attach to your keys. It's as simple as just having it with your keys as you lock your home's front door, to start your workout. Why protect yourself only when you get into a car?
There are many pepper sprays on the market today, some come with hand straps and flashlights. Others double as walking weights, for those of you who want to build muscle as you walk! There are even some that look like pagers, lipstick, etc.
Personal safety should never be an issue when you are jogging, running or walking outdoors!

Lipstick Stun Gun, IN STOCK
As some of you know the 950,000 volt Lipstick Stun Gun, was out of stock on our website for a while, to say the least! The manufacturer could not keep up with the high demand. Fortunately the Lipstick Stun Gun weapon is BACK IN STOCK! WomenOnGuard.com sent out many of them last Friday, which were on back order and made sure to order plenty from the manufacturer, for the weeks to come. This weapon is tiny but very powerful. The fact that it looks like a lipstick, will catch a potential attacker by surprise!
So you know what BACK IN STOCK means... Place your order soon at WomenOnGuard.com, before we run out of the Lipstick Stun Guns again!
