Okey, maybe some of you young women, have never heard the term "we've come a long way baby", but we have! First of all, it's a milestone that women are allowed to play soccer internationally now. Back in the 70's, women's soccer teams were looked upon with a smirk! The game players were considered lesbians or females that had a wanna be men, syndrome... They literally were joked upon! But not anymore!
The game is fun to play. Why wouldn't women want to play a game that is enjoying, athletic and played all over the world? It makes women proud to finally be admired for their athletic strength and teamsmanship! Plus, now us ladies can sit around the TV with snacks and encourage our soccer teams for a GOAL! Instead of having Tubberware parties...
The world is changing for the better. At least when it concern's athletic female players and their admirers. Isn't it about time?
