Justice was served yesterday when a waiter at a restaurant had a man and a woman sit at one of his tables. When the woman got up to go to the salad bar, the waiter noticed that the man accompanying her had dropped a pill in her drink. He claimed he saw the man smash the pill with his straw and stir it in. The waiter tried afterwards to spill her drink, but couldn't, so he then went and got her another drink, replacing the tainted one. As he left the table, he glanced at the man and the suspect gave him a horrific look!Police were called in and Robert L. Psaty was charged with felony of consumption of a control substance through deception. The drink tested positive for Diazepam; a muscle relaxant and tranquilizer. Police said that consuming such a drug would have definitely affected her and would have interfered with her ability to make logical decisions.
