This 73 year old Austrian man kept his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzi, in his cellar for almost 24 years. His wife claims she was not aware of her daughter being in the house. Josef Fritzi, the father, would tell people that his 18 year old daughter had joined a cult and left home. Three of the children were never let out of the basement, one child died and the other 3 were raised upstairs by the grandparents which they claimed as adopted. The oldest of the three, 19 year old Kerstin, who was raised by her grandparents, was taken to the hospital due to severe cramps. One of the doctors from the hospital became suspicious and that lead to police finding her mother. this man-for lack of a better term-is EVIL! his remark about not being a monster because he didn't kill his captives (his daughter and kids/grandchildren) shows he is not insane, as his lawyer is trying to claim, but immoral and a total narcissist. there is nothing bad enough for the courts to do to him. i don't believe his wife was unaware of what he was doing either.
