During the summer there are many critters around and the most dangerous ones are the Bufo Toads! These Toads that usually come out during the summer are very dangerous to DOGS!

A few years ago, we did not know about these Bufo Toads. But after we had one of our dogs bitten, by one, it really opened our eyes on how dangerous they are! The main fear about these animals is that they spit a venomous stream that can reach your pet's mouth and eyes and render them helpless. If not noticed it can also KILL your beloved pet very fast!

We were fortunate to have had a dog hospital near us, when our beloved Zoilita our dog, got spit by one of those venomous Bufo Toads. We had to cross all red lights to be able to take her in before she would die. We kept looking at her eyes, because that's how you can see if their eyes are dilated... it's a sign that the dog is deceased. We got in our car and passed all the red lights in the streets around 10:30 at night! When we finally got to the dog center near us, her eyes were almost dilated, which means that she would be dead soon... But we were lucky, because we got to the dog hospital right on time! Her eyes were almost all dilated but fortunately, the Vets got her right in time before she would be totally dilated and considered dead...

So, please keep an eye on your dogs, especially during the summer and at night. Make sure they are not around venomous Bufo Toads in your front or backyard!
