Relax and Look to Nature for Calming Your Soul

Have you noticed how many people are a nervous wreck lately? Maybe it's because of the elections or that we still haven't gotten out of our holiday mood or simply because it's hard to focus at work after all the hoopla.

I for one, was a nervous type of person in my early years, but one thing that always helped me was nature. There is something about getting out and being surrounded by trees, a lake, the beach or a shinny bright sky with clouds. Maybe it's because people in the beginning of time lived outdoors, close to water or in jungles...

Nature, for some reason, tends to calm us... There's no cars beeping, no TV turned up loud and nothing to worry about when you focus on the beauty and magnificence of our planet Earth. All you feel or experience is the soft breeze, the moving clouds, the warm sun, trees and birds chirping...

So next time you feel overwhelmed by your surroundings, try stepping outside, perhaps near a lake or find a secluded area surrounded only by nature. You will feel refreshed and calm again, just try it. You'll be glad you did!
