It's a New Year! Let's Be Kind to One Another.

Forget all the bad issues and try to start this New Year by helping others. Good deeds, can change our society, when you are kind.

Instead of evaluating someone as a drunk, looser, selfish bastard... Let's try to understand that person and help them out this New Year. People can learn from others and can make a difference in our society. Instead of telling someone that they are no good, try helping them.

Consider kindness for this New Year... It's powerful and can change the outlook of how we treat each other. If you help a person, no matter how little the act can be, it will change their outlook and drive them to be kind themselves. Next time you see a person who is down and sad, remember to lighten them up and give them hope... Negativity never helps, but being positive can go a long way in society!

High Heel Shoes Horror, Still Exists In Our Country!

Maybe it's because our American society still advertises high heels for women… How soon we forget the horrors of the ancient Japanese society and their issues with painful footwear!

Yet American women are still injuring their feet. Not with tiny shoes like the ancient Japanese, but by wearing high heels instead! In our country, podiatrist's or foot doctors are making a killing fixing distorted and painful women’s feet. Years of wearing high heels in our society has taken a toll on our ability for us ladies to walk comfortably. The pain is so bad, that women have to go through surgery to fix their feet and in some cases the ankle is also compromised along with their lower back, as well. Wonder where that lower back pain came from? Why are ladies torturing themselves? What will that significant other think, when they see what your feet look like, when you’re barefoot?

American women should start a revolution against high heels! High heel shoes are not only painful and disfiguring but also dangerous to walk in. Our society needs to forget those antiquated, uncomfortable and dangerous high heel shoes and convince the younger female generation to be smart and avoid injuring their feet!

Police Brutality Is Getting Out of Hand!

This is just one example of how there is a trend for police to bully citizens in our society.

There was no reason for the police to be so violent and threatening during a routine traffic stop. What kind of society allows hoodlums like these police officers to assault civilians this way and for no apparent reason! Police should take care of our citizens. Their job is to protect, not assault and bully citizens! We need to get rid of corrupt and racist officers if we want to live peacefully in a diverse society.

Are We Becoming A Wimp Society?

I know that the above header is a strange question. But watching a video posted on facebook, made me think twice about our society!

The above video, makes a good statement. Even though somethings, I believe, have changed for the better... It has occurred to me lately though, that many people are becoming more and more like hermits in our society. Hermits because they don't step out and breath fresh air and only see others on a screen. Even if those others are actually living next door to them! There definitely are more overweight adults and children… Too many of our children play video games indoors instead of kickball outside and there are more and more people taking narcotics to get high.

Many people today, don't understand that experiencing real things, such as physically touching someone and listening to them in person, is a NATURAL HIGH!

More Children Are Victims Of Gun Deaths In Our Society, Than What Is Reported

A recent report by the New York Times, mentioned that more children are victims of gun accidents, than we thought in our society.

It's not because the deaths of these children by guns, were not reported. It's because they were mentioned along with adult victims. In other words, instead of police reporting an incident as an "accident", it was reported as a homicide. So those children in the homicide category, are counted as adults! Leaving fewer "accidental" child killings for the record.

Another interesting thing regarding these deaths, was that most of the shootings were done by boys in our society. Plus, 80% of the victims were boys.

I wonder if boys are attracted to guns, because of video games, movies or even perhaps peer pressure from other boys, men or their fathers. Our country should encourage boys to focus on more productive and less violent ways, to contribute to our society! Maybe then, there will be fewer deaths of any age group in our society.

Traffic Light With A Camera, Should You Be Concerned?

You probably are wondering; So what?… it's probably for ticketing people that don't stop for a red traffic light. Well, that's not all it's used for!

Cameras next to traffic lights are spying on you!

Our society is slowly but surely turning into a surveillance, spying one. Singapore is an example of a surveillance city. Where you can actually be ticketed if you drop chewing gum on it's sidewalks. Literally a surveillance city. Are we headed that way? No doubt in my mind.

Those cameras you see next to traffic lights in our society, are not just for police to ticket you. They also are for spying on you, to know where you go, how often and at what time. These cameras, next to traffic lights are being used by police to track criminals and other occurrences. Your license plate lets authorities know who you are and where you're going, 24/7! Don't worry about cars now having some sort of tracking device. Now a days, everybody is being tracked, on the road and wherever you shop, go to school or work. They know your routines because they literally are spying on you!

Plus, most of these footages from cameras of our society, are saved for years by police, not just for a week or so… Many citizens are confronting authorities regarding how long these files are kept in their city records. Due to citizen action, some municipalities are being restricted on how much time, they can keep the videos for.

Do you know how long your city keeps videos of you? Are you concerned?

Women Targeted Instead of Embraced in our Society

Is it just our imagination or are women in our society, being targeted and blamed for all our nation's problems?

Be it direct attacks like physical crimes against women such as rape or accusations that women should just stop having sex because they might get pregnant. A Woman is accused of being a whore or a prostitute because she wants to be fulfilled sexually... men excluded, of course. All of a sudden they are baby killers, bad mothers or the reason their sons become mass murderers. Plus let's not forget about domestic violence victims, who's only crime, was to marry the wrong man! Domestic violence is usually a hush, hush situation. These violent cases are rampant, yet you rarely hear about them in the news, unless of course it's about a movie star involved in a domestic violence situation...

There literally IS an attack against women in our American society. Most of these attacks are unfortunately coming from high profile individuals lately, and even from elected officials that us women actually voted for! Laws are presently being passed that restrict women from fulfilling their professional as well as their personal lives.

It's disconcerting, to read so many articles about women being abused abroad, while here in our own country, women are also treated disrespectfully and yes, as second class citizens too. Most Americans don't know that there's an average of 207,754 victims of rape, annually in our country (as per the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). That is an average of 1 rape, occurring every 2 minutes! This figure doesn't include sexual assaults that are not reported to the police by it's victims. These are for the most part, hate crimes. To make it worse, we have to hear about elected officials, almost trying to put us back in caves and dragging us by our hair... If they had their way, they would not allow women to work outside of their homes, let alone vote!

Fortunately in our society, women are the majority of voters and social media, such as FaceBook exists. We can change this trend. Our hope is that women will choose to vote for issues or candidates that help women and not hurt them. Because in the end, all societies are judged by how people treat their women and children. We have a long ways to go and we need to stand by each other and not allow this trend against women, to continue!
