An Amber Alert has been issued for Alexis "Lexi" Lynn Johnson, a 6-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted by her mother's ex-boyfriend Harvey Eugene York Jr. on Sunday, according to Texas police. The suspect's vehicle has since been spotted in Louisiana, but authorities have been unable to locate Alexis or York.

According to Texas' Harris County Sheriff's Office, Alexis and her mother were in downtown Houston on Sunday, when the girl's mom got into an argument with 40-year-old York. He allegedly grabbed the child during the argument, and fled in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck, with Louisiana license plate number F163202.

York isn't Alexis' biological father, according to the police.

Authorities received their first break in the case on Monday, when York's mother reported he and the girl had stopped at her home in Zwolle, Louisiana, a small town just outside of Shreveport, click2houston.com reported.

Local and state law enforcement authorities are now coordinating a massive search effort in that area. Local media report that authorities have patrol units on the ground and helicopters in the air searching for York and the child.

The family is not worried York will harm Alexis, but they are concerned the girl could be injured as he continues to evade police, reported a local ABC station. The Huffington Post was unable to make contact with Alexis' family Monday.

Alexis Johnson is described as a white female, who is 3 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 63 pounds, and has shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. She typically wears eyeglasses, police said. Authorities have released a photo of her alleged abductor.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 713-221-6000.

SUSPECT SEARCH: Up to 50 South Florida women victims of ‘Serial Creeper’

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Authorities in South Florida are searching for a man they call the “Serial Creeper” who is suspected of terrorizing up to 50 women by slipping into their homes and standing over them as they sleep.

Police have used DNA and victim testimony to create a computer-based composite image of the masked suspect. They’re circulating flyers to warn women about the suspect and with the hope someone will recognize him.

Police say the man has been targeting his victims. “This is a concentrated stalking type of pattern where he is targeting individuals,” said Coral Gables Police Chief Edward Hudak.

The "Serial Creeper" seeks out women, sneaking into their first floor apartments in the middle of the night. It’s happened in Coral Gables, Miami and possibly in Miami Beach.

On August 18th, woman woke up at 5:30 in the morning with a man in her bed. Police reports say he started to perform oral sex on her against her will.

The man spoke Spanish and told the woman he wasn’t going to hurt her. He said he was from Cuba and he also refereed to her by her first name.

Police are trying to determine if the case is connected and they’re going through all similar cases from the past.

“As of this moment we have not linked any, but we are still looking back at those cases,” said Miami Beach Police Deputy Chief Lauretta Hill.

Arlington Police Search For Possible Serial Rapist

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- With four attempted rapes or abductions happening to women walking alone at night in the last 16 days, Arlington police fear a serial rapist may be on the loose.

All four women were able to fight off their attacker.

PREVIOUS: Pillowcase put over woman's face in Arlington assault

The most recent assault occurred on Saturday near Lyon Village Park when a woman was walking alone from a bar at 3 a.m. Saturday.

The man approached the woman from behind and threw a pillowcase over her head. She kicked and screamed until he finally pulled off the pillowcase and ran away.

"It's terrible. I just don't expect that around here," said neighbor Tammy Gibbs.

The first attack happened on July 25th around 1:20 a.m., just blocks from police headquarters. The man grabbed a woman from behind, dragged her into the bushes and pulled on her pants. She fought him off and waved down a motorist.

She helped police develop a composite sketch.

"I live here and sometimes I come at night and it's really dark and you cannot see anything," said Victoria Vallejos.

The second attack happened on July 31st around 9 p.m. in Glencarlyn Park on the trail. Again the victim was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground.

The woman bit the man's hand and he ran away. She helped with a composite sketch that could be the same man. Police say they see other similarities.

"They are attacked from behind, the females are thrown to the ground, where this individual or individuals tries to get on top of them and sexually assault them," said Arlington Police Spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.

The third attack happened on August 1st around 11:30 p.m. at 4300 N Pershing Drive. A 25-year-old woman was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground while she was walking home. This woman also bit his hand and he ran off.

"Important to point out that if you are a victim of crime, that you call 911 immediately. In a couple of cases, the victim did wait until the following morning," said Sternbeck.

Some of the women may have waited to report because they were a little drunk after leaving a bar. Police say if you're a victim of crime, it doesn't matter if you're sober or intoxicated.

Arlington police say they have stepped up patrols and deployed extra undercover officers. Police are also reaching out to other jurisdictions to see if they too have had similar attacks.

Police Say Man Invited His Daughter's Rapist to Dinner and Tortured Him

Police say a man in India took the law into his own hands when he used a fake dinner invitation to lure his daughter's alleged rapist over for a night of torture and, ultimately, murder.

The father allegedly discovered his daughter had been raped by a 45-year-old married medical supplier while he was away on a business trip. According to the Indian Express, the girl told her father what happened despite threats of violence.

Fearing "a bad name for his daughter," the man bypassed police and dealt out his own deadly justice.

Reports the Express:

"The father called the medicine supplier over to his house saying he wanted to discuss some issue. He served him dinner. After the meal, the father overpowered the man and tied him to a chair. He got heated tongs and burned the supplier's genitals before strangling him to death. He came to the police station and surrendered himself," an officer said.

The father reportedly told police he had planned his revenge from the moment he found out about the rape but never intended to kill the man.

Police Brutality Is Getting Out of Hand!

Another officer, Daniel Holtzclaw, previously had raped 8 women while on duty… In Eric Robert's case, there were cameras… But what good will they do, when an officer can turn off their dashboard camera and microphone from their uniform? Sure enough, that's what he did!

This brings us to the question: are cameras for just the police's benefit? Shouldn't these videos be mandatory for all officers and shouldn't they NOT have an OFF SWITCH? Seems to us that a video constantly ON, will track the person's action and or the trooper's behavior. It's ridiculous to try to make out what exactly happens in a crime, when evidence can be tampered with or not shown at all.
